MARC Scholarship
Scholarship History
The MARC Endowment was established by the Midwest Regional Area Council, July 12, 1992. The first scholarship was awarded in 1998.
Because a number of the MARC states in 1992 could not afford to start their own scholarships, the MARC Endowment was begun. The membership felt they could afford to start a scholarship that many from the MARC area could benefit from. Since that time many of the MARC states have started their own scholarships after seeing the great possibilities and advantages they present.
The MARC states consist of Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Ohio, South Dakota, Wisconsin.
