Georgia State Council Scholarship
Scholarship History
The Georgia State Council A Endowment was established by the Georgia State Council March 22, 1988. The first scholarship was awarded in 1989.
In September 1986 the Georgia State Council Convention hostess, Cobb County Council took a proposal to the state council meeting requesting that Georgia set up this endowment with the $914.04 from the profits of their convention.
At the 1989 Georgia State Convention, Pat Griffin, ESAF State Counselor announced to the membership that in three short years they had raised the $5000 needed to endow the scholarship.
