Scholarship History

The Jay Peckham Pharmacy Endowment was established by Sue Peckham August 29, 2009.  The first scholarship was awarded in 2011.

Jay was always a big supporter of the Foundation.  In 1989 he received one of the first Stewardship awards and made sure that his wife, Sue received a Dixie Palmer Lady award.

Jay died in June, 2009 when they were in Reno, Nevada.  What better way to celebrate him than by starting a scholarship in Pharmacy, his profession.  He was a registered pharmacist in Missouri for 50 years and in Kansas almost as long.

Sue could think of no other honor that would mean as much for Jay.
